Early Life:

Apollian was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, happy with his mother until the age of 10 when she was incarcerated for unintentional homicide in a domestic violence matter. Apollian was sent to live with his stepfather and grandparents, the Jude family. At 14 Apollian found himself immersed in a subculture created by the effects of poverty, racism, and classism, where drug smuggling/selling, stealing cars, breaking & entering, and fights were viewed as methods of survival. Apollian was convicted of his first felony at the age 17; he did 30 days in a correctional facility (with release privileges) and 2 years of probation. After his release, Apollian recorded his first single, “Life in the Ghetto” at, “Sidetraxx Studios” in 1999, “Life in the Ghetto.” Apollian beautifully displayed the craft and skills he acquired while rapping under the streetlights on Milwaukee’s north side (21st street). As fate would have it, Apollian would be incarcerated two more times before he walked away from the walls forever.

2011 to Now:

There is a complete sense of consciousness, self-awareness, unity and accountability. A corner has most definitely been turned and Apollian is looking to develop himself and his community. “I learned from my prison experience that I am BETTER than my worst self, and NO will dictate my Life but God and my Daughter” Redemption, Apollian’s first full LP, was released in 2011. “Redemption” set the stage for a, “New Breed” of community-based rap focused on change and, keeping it real, 100! “I help others now, because I know what they are going through, especially being black in the 21st century, and I want to help with Change”  Apollian’s first Lp album, “Redemption” can be found at all internet stores & music locations (iTunes, Google play, Amazon, etc.)
